ThyssenKrupp still seeking to sell Industrial Services division

Reading time: min

ThyssenKrupp AG said that it is still seeking to sell its Industrial Services division, which comprises of its ThyssenKrupp Industrieservice, Xervon and Safway units.

Mr Klaus Pepperhoff spokesman of ThyssenKrupp said that the sale process is on schedule. He added that selling the units separately is an option. It may be noted that ThyssenKrupp abandoned the offering of ThyssenKrupp Industrieservice after potential buyers, including Hochtief AG and Bilfinger Berger AG and private equity firms decided against bidding.

Sources said that the sale of the Xervon chemical and power plant operator and scaffolding company Safway may also fail as Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc and JPMorgan Chase & Co, who were managing the disposals, are no longer offering financing for potential buyers.
