Leading Engine Manufacturer counts on Cooperation with German Investment Casting Specialist

TITAL and Rolls-Royce, recently signed a memorandum of understanding foreseeing the permanent development and production of highly complex aluminium and titanium investment castings for aircraft engines.

“We are happy to have  Rolls-Royce as a strong partner allowing us to cooperate in the development and production of the next engine generation”, Philipp Schack, Managing Partner of TITAL, said  on the cooperation perspectives with this renowned  engine manufacturer.

Philipp Jerusalem, Sales Director at TITAL, is hoping for long-term cooperation with the British group. “This partnership is projected for many years ahead. Having  Rolls-Royce as a strategic partner is a milestone in TITAL’s corporate history. Now we are doing all we can to fulfil our customer’s expectations on a long-term basis.”

Rolls-Royce particularly appreciates the long-standing experience of the German company in the investment casting industry, where TITAL is one of the worldwide leading suppliers to the aviation and aerospace industry.

“The cooperation with Rolls-Royce can immediately start. Initial projects have already been defined and project teams formed, and we are intensively working to prepare for further challenges”, Philipp Schack sees a positive future.

This increased cooperation is based on mutual confidence resulting from nearly 20 years of customer relations.

Thanks to its long-term nature and high potential this new commitment has a special importance for the investment casting specialist. The cooperation with Rolls-Royce is also a decisive signal to launch the extension of the traditional site in Bestwig. TITAL is planning to considerably enlarge its plant in Bestwig, in order to extend production on a long-term basis. The construction procedure has started for the extension of the production site.

“Now we have to make available sufficient production capacity in order to realise the various engine projects with our partner Rolls-Royce. Having met the pre-requisites for this we are looking forward to starting the long planned cooperation“, Mr Schack is confident to deliver first parts in 2015.
