New logo and website signify commitment to reducing part and gross vehicle weight

Shiloh Industries, Inc. has invested in new resources and technologies to support its focus on being the automotive industry's single source supplier of casting, laser welding and stamping solutions for lightweighting challenges.

"We've made strategic acquisitions and strengthened our product offerings to help OEMs meet the 54.5 mpg standards through lightweighting efforts," said Ramzi Hermiz, president and chief executive officer. "Lighter body-in-white and chassis components will significantly contribute to gross vehicle weight reduction, which is why we've focused our growth efforts on new technologies that offer multiple mixed material options for manufacturers."

Over the past year, Shiloh has added capacity and capabilities, including the addition of high-integrity, high-ductility, aluminum die castings with on-site heat treating for automotive structural, body-in-white and components. Shiloh is also leading the industry in curvilinear and multicurvilinear welding that adds strength to welded blanks while reducing weight. These technologies are complemented by Shiloh's acoustic products that minimize noise and vibration without adding mass.
"Our team's expertise in steel, aluminum and other alloys, plus our advanced capabilities in product design, engineering and manufacturing, means we can offer an objective viewpoint and develop the right solution for each of our customer's needs," Hermiz said.

To illustrate its focus on lightweighting solutions, Shiloh has refreshed its visual identity. Shiloh's new logo conveys a feeling of confidence and strength, and symbolizes the coming-together of Shiloh's multi-faceted technologies and materials as well as the collective talents that form one strong team. The company's new tagline, "Lightweighting without compromise™," demonstrates its commitment to providing advanced lightweighting solutions that do not compromise part integrity such as safety, strength, function and quality.

A new Shiloh.com website features the company's new logo and other visual elements and communicates how Shiloh is uniquely qualified to solve customers' lightweighting challenges.

"Our new brand identity and the new Shiloh.com reflect our commitment to providing effective, cost-efficient solutions for our customers' greatest lightweighting challenges," Hermiz said.
