This autumn, from 19th to 21st October, Expo Silesia in Sosnowiec (Poland) will feature three industrial events - the International Fair for Steel, Non-ferrous Metals, Technologies and Products SteelMET, the International Welding Fair ExpoWELDING and the International Fair of Surface Protection SURFPROTECT. These exhibitions combine related sectors and enable a comprehensive presentation of their potential.
The list of partners for this edition of the International Fair for Steel, Non-ferrous Metals, Technologies and Products SteelMET will include the Polish Association of Steel Stockholders (PUDS), which brings together over eighty representatives from the steel industry. Besides PUDS, the fair will also feature other important institutions: the Polish Chamber Of Steelworks, the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, and the Polish Steel Association.
The main event accompanying the fair will be the largest conference in Poland's steel industry, "The Steel Market in Central and Eastern Europe", organized by the Polish Association of Steel Stockholders. The conference will target representatives of the entire steel industry (production and distribution), and also sectors related to the steel industry, i.e. construction, railways and energy.
Another fair being held together with SteelMET is the prestigious International Welding Fair ExpoWELDING, held in high regard not only in Poland but throughout Central and Eastern Europe. ExpoWELDING will be accompanied by a technical and scientific conference entitled "Advanced Welding Technologies" organized by the Institute of Welding in Gliwice. Patronage over this event will be held by the Mechanical Engineering Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Moreover, ExpoWELDING is held under the auspices of the Minister of Economy.
The fair will showcase technological innovations and equipment dedicated to industrial applications. The event will also provide an opportunity for each of our Exhibitors to present their numerous new products and technological innovations. In addition, there will be courses in welding and gas cutting, organized by the Welding Training Centre in Gliwice. The fair organizers also wish to invite everyone to participate in the competition Welding Master, in which competitors will be evaluated for accuracy and precision in welding.
Both SteelMET and ExpoWELDING will be accompanied by the fourth edition of the International Fair of Surface Protection SURFPROTECT, presenting modern appliances, machinery, polymerization technology and electrolytic coatings for the protection of surfaces from abrasion. The fair will host an international seminar entitled "The Role of Metal Coatings in Corrosion Protection", organized by the Institute of Precision Mechanics in Warsaw.
Each of these industries - steel, corrosion protection and welding are strongly interrelated. The possibility of meeting representatives from these three industries in one place and at the same time has a number of benefits. This year's fairs will showcase portfolios of over 200 exhibitors from many countries including Germany, Czech Republic, Belarus and China.
