THE WAGGA Iron Foundry has been named runner up in the category of Excellence in Product and Service for the 2008 Wagga Wagga Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Business awards.
The foundry has been established for nearly 80 years, and fabricates a variety of cast iron, ductile iron and nickel products for many different industries. Its range includes brake components, pipes, valves, manhole lids, and street lights.
It specialises in small to medium runs, with a focus on fast turn around times. The foundry has a 500kg pouring capacity, and a semi-automated Hunter with a large box size for larger quantity orders.
