Steel can be recycled over and over again without loss of properties. The steel recycling system is very efficient and all the steel in collected end-of-life products is recycled. Steel scrap represents an important and much desired raw material for the steel industry. Eurofer, the European Steel Association has published a new folder explaining how steel contributes to resource efficiency and sustainable development. Up-to-date numbers on steel reuse as well as graphs on steel production and recovery flows show: steel is used and reused, but never consumed.
