China overtakes Germany as the biggest exporter

China has become the first world exporter having taken Germany as a leader.

During first 11 months of 2009 Chinese exportations have reached USD 1.070 trillion while Germany stopped at USD 1,050 trillion. Chinese exports hit USD 130.7 dollars during December 2009 bringing China's full year export figure to USD 1.20 trillion. Germany was the top world exporter since 2003.

During November 2009 Germany trade balance surplus was EUR 17.2 billion up from EUR 13.6 billion of October and best performance since 17 months. Germany export was scoring a + 1,6% on monthly basis and a + 12% on yearly basis, while importations decreased by 5.9% on monthly basis to EUR 53.4 billion.
