Scrap prices stabilized in East China Shandong against a background of around CNY 60 to CNY 100 gains in other markets.
Mainstream market price for 6mm to 10mm, 4mm to 6mm and 2mm to 4mm scrap was CNY 2450 to CNY 2480, CNY 2350 to CNY 2440 and CNY 2240 respectively.
Local mills’ purchase prices remain unchanged and local traders are skeptical to recent rise in scrap prices. Trading activities remain thin.
