A Safe Place for Top-Quality Business Meetings
One of the leading European Foundry Fairs in Eastern Europe attracting people at the interface between East and West is the Metal Expo in Kielce every two years. In 2020 due to Covid-19 the exhibition industry's reality changed almost overnight, this business sector has been the first to suffer coronavirus pandemic's impact. It's absolutely admirable that Targi Kielce sticks to the date and holds the event in October 2020. We had a conversation with Mr Andrzej Mochoń PhD, Targi Kielce President of the Board about the preparations and the hygiene concept.

How has Targi Kielce functioned during the coronavirus pandemic?
Just like other exhibition centres, we have had to make the stark yet necessary decision to cancel Targi Kielce events from March until the end of June. However, we had not been sitting back and doing nothing in a wait for the removal of the expo-related restrictions.  We have made the best use of the waiting time before the expos commencement. The new autumn trade-fairs' formats and even more attractive business meetings are the result. We have introduced new services and implemented the projects and solutions which have made it possible for us to maintain business continuity and operate also outside mass-events core-business. The need for meetings has nod weaned off; thus, the square around the exhibition pavilions was the stage for the garden and summer trade fairs in May and June. We have taken all the necessary safety measures and precautions.

What activities have you taken to increase the Kielce exhibition and congress centre visitors' safety?
Expo organisers have now focused procedures on preparation and implementation. Such schemes enable business continuity in the new business reality. Out of utmost concern for our guests' safety, we have introduced a number of measures to enable their participation in the events we organise.

Targi Kielce will install eight multi-functional booths equipped with body temperature screening systems and automatic disinfection - the so-called decontamination functions. These devices are here to help meet sanitary requirements and enable personal sanitary control. The necessary precautions are also taken for the whole duration of the events organised in Targi Kielce. Regular disinfection of frequently touched infrastructure elements, such as mirrors, handrails, door handles – this is just the example. The autumn events' participants will be offered extra points of sale operating in front of the terminals. Face-covering masks, gloves and anti-virus fluids will be distributed there. The Kielce exhibition and congress centre is equipped with ample of information boards, traffic-directing signs as well as strategic facilities such as medical service units in addition to personal protective equipment distribution points. Hand-disinfectant dispensers are available in all expo halls and sanitary facilities.

The METAL expo preparations are underway - can we have a sneak preview?
For years the event has gathered not only A-class business-insider companies but also professionals from all corners of the world. Save the date for 14-16 October 2020 in your company's calendar. The events offer an excellent opportunity to promote your business and establish new international contacts, find leads and sign win-win contracts. Safety is this year's overriding priority.

The work and organisational activities related to the event are proceeding according to the plan.  We make every possible effort to create an even more attractive business meeting.  A comprehensive foundry-business festival enhanced with the latest technological solutions and new products presentations is our objective.

METAL expo is a perfect way to return to the new business reality. What are other reasons to be a part of the event?
Trade fairs stimulate economic development on many levels; they provide the opportunity to talk shop, discover global solutions and exchange experiences related to the industry challenges.  METAL trade show has been expanded to include trainings, conferences and other, no less intriguing exhibitions : ALUMINUM & NONFERMET, RECYCLING and HEAT TREATMENT.  These and many other companies have already confirmed their expo presence:  ASK CHEMICALS, METALS MINERALS, GUSS-EX, INDUCTOTHERM EUROPE (United Kingdom), HERAEUS Electro-Nite Polska, SIM (Italy), TERMETAL, SYKOFIN (Slovenia), PROMET GROUP (Czech Republic), ExOne (Germany), PRECODLEW, ZĘBIEC, Foundry Service Agency, FERRUS, Industrial Solution Group, Spectro Poland, KOM-ODLEW, OMS PRESSE (Italy), COMETEL (Spain), AICHELIN (Austria), Cast Metal, PROFOND (Poland), JAP INDUSTRIES (Czech Republic).

The expos provide an excellent promotional tool designed to boost companies' presence on the Polish and international markets.
