The Hong Kong Diecasting and Foundry Association (HKDFA) and Guangdong Foundry Industry Association (GDFIA) are pleased to announce the co‐host of the 2011 International (Shenzhen) Metal Casting Show (IMCS) to be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from 25‐27 May 2011. Being the core industrial area for China's die‐casting and foundry industry, Southern China presents a huge market potential with high demand for a professional exhibition. Backed by the proven track record of the last three editions organized by HKDFA, IMCS will continue it success and reach new heights with the partnership of HKDFA and GDFIA in 2011. Many leading enterprises showed support by confirming their participations. The favourable feedback demonstrated the superiority of these two major non‐profit trade associations to gather industry peers in organizing a professional trade show.

Established by the Hong Kong Foundry Association and Hong Kong Diecasting Association in July 2008, HKDFA is the only leading association in the industry and is highly recognized worldwide. As the leading industry association, GDFIA has nearly 100 members. By centralizing the resources of these two associations, 2011 IMCS serves as a major trade event in Southern China grouping industry elites not only from China, but also Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and even Southeast Asia. At the moment, sales feedback of booth reservation is encouraging. Leading enterprises in the industry, such as Yizumi, Chit Shun, Ka Shui, Shunking, Pan Pacific, Acme Alliance, Hoi Hing, Lee Kee, Ultraform, Jeco Precision, L.K. Machinery, Dongguan Modern Metal Precision, Apex Rank, Cheong Fai, Wan Ho, Eontec, Konch, Hong Bang, Zhong Tian, Go Star, Foundry Metal Work, Ming Shing, etc. have already confirmed their participation. It is expected that the show will attract 150 exhibitors with number of booths exceeding 350. Exhibit categories to be displayed at the show range from die‐casting equipments to die‐castings and foundry raw materials, industrial automation technology, mold & die technology and foundry equipment and industrial furnaces technology. "Southern China needs a high‐quality exhibition platform for closer communications and collaborations in order to boost the industry development. The partnership of 2011 IMCS just answers the needs of the industry," said Tang Jie Xiong, president of GDFIA.

A series of high‐quality onsite activities will be held concurrently with 2011 IMCS. Among them is 2011 China/Hong Kong/Taiwan Metal Casting Industry Co‐operation Forum, which is organized by HKDFA and co‐organized by China Foundry Association and Taiwan Casting Industry Association. The Forum will invite local and overseas enterprise representatives, industry experts and scholars to address an array of hot topics. The "Metal Casting Production Line Showcase" provides exhibitors with a high level of exposure in a diverse range of pre‐show promotional materials. They can also introduce their products and technologies at the Industry Conference. The Best Casting Competition aims to enhance the quality of casting products and promote fine‐quality casting. Meanwhile, Industry Conference will feature well‐known experts and senior management executives as speakers, offering educational opportunities for visitors. 2011 IMCS not only offers exhibitors and visitors a trading platform for product procurement and order placing, but also various educational opportunities to obtain first‐hand information.

Extensive show promotion and recruitment of high‐quality visitors are the main highlights of 2011 IMCS. This is also the fundamental element for the success of the show. The Organizer's database contains more than 100,000 buyer data, with industry covering electronics, transportation, heavy machinery, toys, gifts and accessories, petrochemical, automobile, lighting & hardware, computer and electrical appliances, bathroom metal ware and other related industries. An estimated 40% of these data are serious buyers with identified purchasing needs. A large‐scale invitation will be kicked off in February to invite senior management executives and sourcing managers to the show. Coupled with a high level of media publicity and coverage, it is expected that 2011 IMCS will draw an attendance of over 15,000 buyers from China and Southeast Asia. "HKDFA and GDFIA will make use of their resources and network in China and Southeast Asia to mobilize their members and partners to invite buyers from all over the world. We expect the show to draw huge crowd," said Fred Tam, president of HKDFA.

2011 IMCS received support from many industry associations, institutes and government departments. As the local host, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Guangzhou Sub‐council (CCPIT‐GZ) will secure support from the government and suggest a series of strategic recommendations for future development. Moreover, apart from 20 local and overseas media partners; a total of 23 industry associations (8 local and 15 overseas) will support the show and share their resources. These associations include China Foundry Association, Guangdong Mechanical Engineering Society (Division of Die‐casting and Division of Foundry), China Auto Parts & Accessories Corporation, Federation of Hong Kong Machinery and Metal Industries, Hong Kong (SME) Economic and Trade Promotional Association, Taiwan Casting Industry Association, Keikinzoku Tsushin AL Co., Ltd. and more.
