LOI Thermprocess – a company of the LOI Italimpianti Group – has been awarded by the Russian company ELSI Stalkonstruktsiya a contract for engineering services and the supply of various systems for a new galvanizing plant. The LOI systems will form the core of a new hot-dip galvanizing plant built to the latest standards.
The scope of supplies includes the natural gas-fired galvanizing furnace, the galvanizing tank and advanced filter systems and heat exchangers. The furnace is to be heated by high-speed burners. The galvanizing tank of the new plant will be 13 m long, 3 m deep and 1.8 m wide and the maximum furnace capacity will be 12 t/h. LOI will also be providing the engineering work for the zinc tank housing and the drying furnace as well as the waste gas and waste air system and the complete control and instrumentation system.
By investing in this plant, ELSI intends to improve the quality and durability of its products: the main focus is on the quality of galvanizing. The new galvanizing plant is due to start production in July 2012.
