The largest trade show and exhibition in 2012 for foundry machines, equipment and services and the 5th China Cast Part Exhibition took place during four days at the beginning May in Beijing.
As always, China Foundry Association (CFA) perfectly organized and presented 1,375 exhibitors from 31 countries with their latest offerings. According to the exhibition organizers, a new attendance record was achieved with over 86,440 visitors counted during the four days.
With a total of 106,000 square meters, all major international companies were in attendance in order show the world's largest key market in China complete process chains. The event was truly impressive, and strongly supported internationally:
- European Committee for Materials and Products for Foundries (CEMAFON)
- European Committee of Industrial Furnace and Heating Equipment Association (CECOF)
- European Metallurgical Equipment Association (EUnited Metallurgy)
- Casting Industry Suppliers Association (CISA)
- German Engineering Federation (VDMA)
Most exhibitors when asked, explained that they were satisfied with the progress of the first two days and claimed it to be positive for business.
The ones who weren't happy were the European exhibitors who faced a different situation in terms of the treatment between domestic and foreign companies. European firms with production facilities in China want to be treated like a Chinese firm and that means more exposure to more favorable conditions.
In this regard, organizers, associations and companies should soon become more united, as the Metal China is without a doubt one of the world's most important events for the foundry industry.
