Clamcleats Ltd. said it recently purchased a new cold chamber die-casting machine made by Colosio to help revamp its foundry in Welwyn Garden City, England.
Clamcleats, a global distributor, said it has manufactured in the United Kingdom since its formation in 1965 and is investing to ensure that its manufacturing continues to grow. Clamcleats designs and makes cleats for holding ropes of as much as five-eighths of an inch.
This cold chamber die casting machine comes equipped with a data storage system that allows accurate repetition of all injection parameters, keeping all molds consistent and allowing improved quality.
The machine will come supplied with a robotic die sprayer and ladler for pouring molten aluminium, which allows for a fully automated cycle where appropriate.
