US - RG Steel announces four new executive appointments

RG Steel LLC has announced four key executive appointments for the newly formed company.

Mr Richard D Caruso has been named CFO
Mr David A Howard has been named CCO
Mr David A Pryzbylski has been named chief administrative officer
Mr Mark D Whalen has been named COO

Mr Caruso has 25 years of financial and strategic leadership experience in a variety of industries including steel, aluminum, copper, iron foundries and manufacturing. He has served as CFO for two privately held aluminum companies. Mr Caruso most recently served as MD of Huron Consulting Group in New York City where he provided financial and operating restructuring services to manufacturing companies including Neenah Foundry Company where he served as interim CEO.

Mr Howard has 30 years of commercial, sales, customer support and operations management experience in the steel industry. He worked for many years with the Warren plant and, after it was purchased by Severstal North America, he became VP of corporate planning for Severstal and later VP & GM of Sparrows Point, his most recent position.

Mr Pryzbylski has 30 years of diversified experience in the steel, aluminum and mining industries. He has experience in human resource management, strategic planning, and corporate governance and legal affairs. After 15 years with US Steel, Mr Pryzbylski served as SVP of administration and corporate secretary for National Steel. He has also served as EVP and then as president and CEO at Beta Steel and as VP of corporate administration at Esmark in Wheeling. Most recently, Mr Pryzbylski provided consulting and advisory services to clients in steel, mining, manufacturing and investment banking.

Mr Whalen has 20 years of experience in the steel industry. He has worked as a research engineer, as consultant and in operations management. At AK Steel he worked as a Research Engineer before entering operations management. Mr Whalen joined US Steel Corporation in 2000 during acquisition of the plant in Kosice, Slovakia, where has responsible for the primary operations. He subsequently was GM of operations at both US Steel's Fairfield Works and Mon Valley Works. He joined ArcelorMittal in 2007 as Vice President with responsibility for Indiana Harbor and Minorca.
