KENOSHA, Wis. -- A worker died Tuesday morning after getting pinned between two castings at Kenosha Steel Castings.
Joseph E. Golec, 46, of Kenosha, had been lifting a 3,700 pound metal casting with an overhead crane. He was standing in a work area operating the crane with a control panel when it appears the casting collided with an adjacent casting, which then struck Golec and pinned him between two castings, according to Kenosha police.
He was concious and talking when rescue crews extricated him. He was later pronounced dead at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center.
