Italpresse get another reward in their long history and tradition in the die casting sector: during last GIFA exhibition many orders of large machines were secured.

At stand A16 in Hall 11 we displayed a TF 1350 ton machine, the two platen machine (with no toggle), courtesy of BDW Technologies which purchased a total of 6 machines of 1350 ton dedicated to the manufacturing of structural components for the automotive sector.

The machine was equipped with a BDW patented vacuum system.

During GIFA it was introduced the new version of the Toggle Free machine range, equipped with a new shot end type SC 3.0:

  • more performance: optimized hydraulic circuits, lower quantity of oil, less charge loss for a quicker second phase and a quicker intensification of the multiplication phase.
  • more reliable: latest generation valves, designed and tested for the specific application. Integrated with the electronic control of the real time process for pressure and speed. No external pipes, all hydraulic circuits integrated (inside the blocks).
  • more compact: even more compact: easy and quick access to the functional parts, no need for pits to accommodate the accumulators.

A new equipment for energy saving, developed together with ABB, was also introduced: a machine model TF 1350 was equipped with inverter VSD (variable speed drive), high efficiency motors class IE 2 as well as a dedicated software.

The test in an Italian foundry (measured with a IMED model Nemo 96 HD) was very successful and the result proved a 36% saving. The machine pump is now a sort of "virtual variable flow rate pump": it works delivering only the real needed quantity of energy and this implies many advantages besides the power saving: less oil cooling, less hydraulic fluid overheating, less noise, less maintenance costs and less installed power.

During GIFA here has been a great interest around the latest die casting machines delivered worldwide. Italpresse is a global player in die casting and the world leader in the engine block die casting production having delivered machines to the main automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers.

Thanks to such long experience and high reputation Italpresse is gaining market shares and during Gifa secured new orders for large machines while the turnover of this year is expected to be another record.
