Our client is one of the world’s leading producer of foundry chemicals with an extensive and innovative portfolio of products & consultancy services. Their product range comprises binders for all core manufacturing processes, coatings, additives, feeders, filters and release agents, as well as metallurgical products including
inoculants, inoculation wires and master alloys for iron casting. Based in 25 countries and numerous production plants in it’s significant markets our client plays a leading role for new products and latest technologies.
For the strategic key market Asia our client is looking for a committed Head of Technical Services Asia m/f/d - Foundry Business Office Shanghai
This position is an important Management role, accelerating new growth with customers, leading business innovations and developing a market strategy for key clients in Asia.
Main Responsibilities
- Define vision & strategy for all Technical Service activities in Asia
- Interact globally with Application Technology departments, foster best practice exchange and implementation of best practice in Asia
- Recruit, develop, train and coach the appropriate technical service people resources and competences in line with the specific challenges in the different Asian countries and sub-regions
- Further develop our clients’ ability to promote world-class foundry practices
- Reinforce and improve customer relationship with technical stakeholders (on management and on workshop level) by supporting account managers, especially for key accounts
- Executes key business development projects together with the sales force at customer, particular focus on implementation of inorganic binder systems
- Monitors new product groups (i.e. 3D printing), trends and technologies to fulfill the demand of key clients of the future business
- Technical leadership responsibility for Asia sales team
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent
- Several years of experience in foundry activities
- In-depth foundry and binder/coating knowledge
- Hands-on with strong leadership skills
- Excellent ability to understand and work within different Asian cultures
- Proven track record in managing teams
- Ability to travel within Asia up to 60 %
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
