Since 1993 RölfsPartner (back then named intra-Unternehmensberatung before the fusion) joins the German Foundry Day with its own exhibition stand year after year. Also this year we attended in Fellbach again, where the industry event took place on the topic “Solid and high-tech – casting solutions from Germany” on the 25th and 26th April 2013. The German Foundry Day organised by the vdg (German Association of Foundry Professionals) gives Professionals a great platform to discuss experiences and trends within the industry.
Today, foundries mostly produce highly developed products which highlights Germany as a production location within the international competition. Many of presentations during the German Foundry Day dealt with that topic. Even Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gotthard Wolf (Partner, RölfsPartner) contributed as a speaker by talking about “Industrialization of hand moulding shops: Opportunities and potentials of the flow production”.
As part of the German Foundry Day, the 5th NEWCAST-Forum took place, as well. In addition to an exhibition of exemplary cast constructions, a series of presentations about development trends in construction of moulded components and their application possibilities in the automotive sector and mechanical engineering were provided.
Further items on the agenda were different factory visits in the surroundings of Stuttgart and the highlight of the German Foundry Day each year: The popular “Caster meeting” which were hold in the restaurant “Alte Kelter” in Fellbach and always provides many opportunities for professional as well as for personal exchange.
The German Foundry Day 2014 will be on the 15th and 16th of May in Hamburg. RölfsPartner will certainly not miss the opportunity to be part of this event and to present itself to the foundry industry again.
