Mr. Daniel Twarog
President of North American Die Casting Association (NADCA)
Mr. Twarog is a 1980 graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology with degrees in materials and metallurgical engineering.  Following graduation, he worked in materials research and development with Amsted Research Laboratories.  He then spent several years as quality and process control manager for an investment casting foundry.  In 1985, he joined the Cast Metals Institute staff as associate director of education and laboratory manager.  Promoted to the position of Director of Research in 1988 for the American Foundrymen’s Society, his many responsibilities included overseeing the U. S. foundry industry research programs, which totaled more than $4.5 million.  Mr. Twarog has provided testimony to the Department of Energy, Department of Defense and the U.S. Congress on the need for research in the metalcasting industry.

In August 1995, Mr. Twarog became the Executive Vice President of North American Die Casting Association (NADCA).  His primary mission was to implement the Association’s Strategic Plan and provide products to the membership that will help them run their companies more effectively.  In his time at NADCA, Mr. Twarog has worked with his staff to develop and improve many NADCA products and services to assist the die casting industry.  In June, 1999, Mr. Twarog was promoted to President of NADCA.

Mr. Twarog has spent 32 years in the metal casting industry and has received numerous awards for research results in process capabilities, investment casting technology, lost foam emission characterization, tramp element effects in aluminum and copper alloys, alternate reuse technology of foundry waste sand, and development of replacement alloy for lead in copper castings.  He has also spoken to numerous private groups and government agencies on the methodology of association/industry/university research.

Recently, NADCA is working jointly with AFS on providing services to the entire metalcasting industry through trade shows, conferences, government affairs activities and research.  NADCA’s current research portfolio exceeds $20M annually and the association continues to sponsor work on developing technology that helps to improve process, material, and product efficiencies.

Mr. Su Shifang
General Secretary of Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society

Mr. Su Shifang, General Secretary of Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, researcher of Shengyang Foundry, Secretary-General of China Foundry Society, vice director of Foundry Industry Productivity Promoting Center & Secretary-General of Die casting Technical committee of China Foundry Society, has been engaged in the research and promotion of numerical simulating technology in foundry industry as well as years of research experience in the industry. He has taken part in various research work of national scientific and technology research items and ministry and provincial technology research items and have won national scientific achievement awards, and provincial scientific achievement awards for many times. He has published over 20 research papers in domestic and foreign journals and tutored dozens of master students.

Dr. Frank Goodwin,
International Zinc Association
Dr. Frank Goodwin, holds a Doctor Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He joined ILZRO in 1982, and was the President of ILZRO afterwards. He becomes Director of Technology & Market Development of International Zinc Association after IZA & ILZRO merging. He has got several American and international patents and is the author of numerous articles, published in the renowned magazine. He has been the member of Galvanizing Technology Committee, held internationally once every three years and addressed the keynote speeches for many times.

Mr. Andrea Locati is the Project Manager in Italpresse Industrie S.p.A. in Italy.

General Manger Liqun Zhang
Shanghai Meridian Magnesium Products Co.,Ltd
Mr. Liqun Zhang, holds the Doctor Degree of Economics from Nanjing University. He has been working in foundry industry of auto parts for 12 years, including 7 years experience in auto magnesium alloy die-casting industry. He once worked in China representative office of Teksid S.p.A. (a Fiat affiliate) , was CFO of Shanghai Meridian Magnesium Products Co.,Ltd and director of Chongqing Meridian BoAo Magnesium LTD. Now he is the general manager of Shanghai Meridian Magnesium Products Co.,Ltd.

Mr. Hongwei Li
Chongqing Sigma Metals. Inc.

Mr. Hongwei Li is the Deputy General Manager of Chongqing Sigma Metals. Inc. He has rich experience in secondary aluminium .During 2002-2005, he held position in the information center of Metal Recycling Branch of China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association. He has published numerous articles in industrial journals both at home and abroad and has been invited to give lectures.

Chongqing Sigma Metals.Inc. ,where Mr. Li Hongwei works , is the largest Aluminium-Silicon alloys manufacturing enterprise in China .The production and sales reached 350,000 tons and business turnover was USD$900,000,000 in 2007. Additionally, they have large scaled plants in Shanghai, Zhangzhou and Gaoxiong. The export amount accounts for 40% of China’s total export of Aluminium-Silicon alloys.

Shanghai Die Casting Technology Association
Founded in 1979, Shanghai Die Casting Technology Association is attached to Shanghai Association For Science & Technology. The founders of the Association , Shizhong Zhao, Yizhi Wang, Caifei Song, Renjian Zhu, Yukun Zhang, other diecasting experts and elites, have organized and developed the exchange activities for diecasting technology since its inception has been 30 years of history . It plays a crucial role in developing and expanding Shanghai Die Casting Technology Association.

General Secretary of Shanghai Die Casting Technology Association, Song Lianzhu has spent 28 years in the die casting industry since he was appointed by the higher authority on 5/12/1982. He not only witnessed the development of Shanghai Die Casting Technology Association, but also has made outstanding contributions. Years have flown by. He has become the General Secretary of Shanghai Die Casting Technology Association from the young technical backbone. Yet he still loves what he did and what he does and what he will do for die casting industry.
