Istanbul/Hannover. It’s barely a month since the close of this year’s ANKIROS, ANNOFER and TURKCAST metallurgy trade fairs in Istanbul, and already exhibitors – among them suppliers from Germany, Spain and Turkey – are signing up for 2012. Buoyed by the success of ANKIROS, ANNOFER and TURKCAST 2010 and the undiminished attractiveness of the Turkish market, these companies are confident their Eurasia business will continue to perform well.

ANKIROS is dedicated to international exhibitors of foundry machinery, technology and products for the iron and steel industry. ANNOFER is a key showcase for the latest machinery and technology for the non-ferrous foundry industry. And TURCAST is the premier trade fair for the latest products and innovations from Turkey’s foundry industry. This year’s three-fair cluster featured national pavilions from China, Germany, Italy, Spain and, for the first time, India.

ANKIROS, ANNOFER und TURKCAST 2010 had a combined exhibitor pool of 800 companies from 36 nations, including 496 from countries other than Turkey, who presented their products and technological innovations on some 30,000 square meters (322,900 sq. ft) of gross display space. Post-fair surveys show that the exhibitors were very happy with the quality and international mix of the trade visitors at their stands, with 91 percent describing their showcase as successful. Staged over four days at the TÜYAP Fair, Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, the three trade fairs were attended by about 13,500 visitors from 72 nations. The big highlights were the Fifth International Ankiros Foundry Congress, organized by the TÜDOKSAD (Foundreymen’s Association of Turkey), and IMMC 2010 – the 15th International Metallurgy-Materials Congress, organized by the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (UCTEA). Together, the two congresses attracted more than 1,000 international attendees.

The ANKIROS, ANNOFER and TURKCAST three-fair cluster is organized by Hannover Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık A.Ş., a subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover, Germany. The three events are held every two years and together constitute the biggest metallurgy trade fair in the Eurasia region and the third-largest of its kind worldwide.

ANKIROS, ANNOFER and TURKCAST will next be held in late 2012.
