The global mould technologies specialist DME is marking its 70 years in business as a plastics industry supplier with events, special offers and other initiatives throughout 2012, all designed to express appreciation to its loyal customers and partners.
Special events planned for the anniversary year include an anniversary “giveaway” that kicks off at NPE2012 and is intended to solicit customer input that can help DME to continue to improve and grow. E-commerce upgrades, faster hot runner delivery, and specials and discounts are additional thank-you gestures appearing this year.

Founded in 1942 as Detroit Mold Engineering, a manufacturer of standard-size mould bases ready for cavity machining, DME now offers mould bases and plates, quick-change systems, mould components, hot runner and cold runner technologies, control systems, die-casting equipment, moulding and mould making supplies, and supplies for mould maintenance and repair. Its 70-year focus on standardization has culminated in global product platforms that assure multinational customers of getting the same DME products wherever they do business.
