General information
The stand-alone series of conferences CastTec take place every 2 years with lectures and accompanying informative exhibition. Approximately 150-200 international attendees and numerous exhibitors are expected for the CastTec 2014.
Conference languages are German and English (simultaneous interpretation German/English and English/ German will be provided).
In parallel to the lecture programme approx. 10-15 companies of the branch will as exhibitors present their delivery and performance scope and will be ready for dialogue.
The complete preliminary programme for CastTec 2014 will be available in the summer of 2014.

Exciting lectures, a modern exhibition, the optional factory tour at the foundry CLAAS GUSS as well as an attractive evening event will give an extensive overview of recent developments and trends from science and industry and will offer you an intensive exchange with colleagues in the field.

Submissions of papers
Recent contributions meeting the following main topics are solicited.
The application for a paper may only be considered through the fully completed attached form together with an abstract submitted to the atm GmbH.
Submitted papers are to be integrated into the following topic groups:

Requirements to the CastTec 2014 technical papers
Lectures for CastTec 2014 will be selected by the Programme Committee members from the abstracts submitted in response to the call for papers. Only those applications for a paper submitted together with an abstract will be considered for the selection process. The abstracts should be 2 pages maximum and be condensed versions of the papers, giving the main items of interest, the methodology as well as the results and principal conclusions of the paper.
After your paper was accepted for CastTec 2014 a full paper has to be submitted. All full papers will be put together in a conference proceedings on an electronic storage medium (CD ROM or USB) and will be distributed to the conference attendees on-site together with the conference package.
Apart from a rich content and the paper’s topicality, especially the quality of the preparation as well as the paper’s illustration appropriate for presentation are decisive criteria for selection.
30 minutes incl. subsequent discussion are scheduled for each plenary paper.
Copyright in papers accepted for being presented at CastTec 2014 passes to atm Gesellschaft für aktives technisches Marketing GmbH.
The presenter resp. the person who applicated for a technical paper guarantees and assures that his/ her submitted paper is free of any property rights of any third party and that no intellectual proprietary rights, patent rights, licencing rights, trademark rights and similar rights are infringed by the paper publication through atm GmbH.
The presenter resp. the person who applicated for a technical paper indemnifies atm GmbH as well as their partners and contractors from any claims of any third party resulting from possible infringements of property rights and bears all costs which arise in this context to atm GmbH, their partners and contractors.
In this regard, atm GmbH, their partners and contractors are authorized to obtain the approval for publishing the respective content from the beneficiary at the expense of the presenter resp. the person who applicated for a technical paper.
Authors whose papers have been accepted must nevertheless register for the conference and pay the participation fee for the conference.
Further information (i.e. about presentation technique, format requirements for paper presentation and for full papers) will be provided with the notification of acceptance to the authors in summer of 2014.
„Best Paper Award“
Evaluated and selected by the attendees, the best CastTec 2014 lecture will be awarded at the end of the conference. Detailed information hereto will be given to all presenters together with the notification of acceptance in the summer of 2014.
