China Knowledge reported that Chery Automobile Co Ltd one of the leading vehicle makers in China is scheduled to set up an auto plant at Sakarya in Turkey.
Mr Murat Mermer General Manger of Chery Automobile said Mermerler Otomotiv a Turkish automobile manufacturer located in Istanbul of Turkey intends to produce cars for Chery in Marmara Province of Sakarya, adding that the project will be kicked off by the end of this year but he did not disclose the financial details of the plant.
Three Chery models which consist of one kind of light commercial vehicle and two sedans called Niche and Change will be made in the plant.
