  • Die casting industry sends positive signals from Nürnberg
  • EUROGUSS a complete success
  • Some 7,000 visitors and 364 exhibitors from all over the world

EUROGUSS closes after three highly successful days. “Despite the economic crisis, around 7,000 trade visitors came to Nürnberg from all over the world to be there at the biggest get-together for the die casting industry. This far exceeded our expectations,” says Heike Slotta, Exhibition Director at NürnbergMesse. “The die casting foundries have closed ranks here at EUROGUSS and are approaching the expected upturn with great determination and new ideas, even though they are still concerned about turnover, equity development and returns,” sums up Gerhard Eder, Chairman of the Association of German Die Casting Foundries (VDD). The lectures at the 10th International Die Casting Congress, which took place for the first time at the heart of the exhibition, were also very well attended.

364 exhibitors, including 44 per cent international, presented a broad spectrum of products ranging from die castings, materials, furnaces, die casting machines and moulds to after treatment, quality control and research & development. Issues that currently occupy the German die casting industry are the “cheap foreign competition”, high energy costs and the rising costs of metal raw materials.

The next EUROGUSS takes place in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg 2012.
