Reading time: min

Flow Science announces that they will be exhibiting at the Cast Expo & Metalcasting Congress, which will take place at America’s Center, April 6-9, 2013 in St. Louis, Missouri. Flow Science representatives will be demoing FLOW-3D Cast, a highly-accurate casting simulation software at Booth # 1575.

Flow Science staff members, Melissa Carter and Liping Xue will be presenting their paper titled, “Simulating the Parameters that Affect Core Gas Defects in Metal Castings,” Sunday, April 7 at 8:30 am in Room 132 as part of the molding methods & materials track. The presentation will cover in depth the complexities that surround the manufacturing of cores and demonstrate how simulation can help engineers understand the various parameters that affect core production.

In addition to the core gas defects presentation, several Flow Science customers will be presenting their work at the conference. David Dennis of Nemak Alabama will present, “Simulation for Lost Foam Casting Process - Nemak Case Study,” on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10:15 am in Room 124 as part of the lost foam track. Harry Littleton of Alchemcast will be talking about how simulation replaced trial and error methods using examples from an iron lost foam foundry and an aluminum lost foam foundry during the lost foam casting design panel on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 2:00 pm in Room 132.
