Reading time: min

Tonight the Italian businessman Gabriele Galante died after a short disease at the age of 76 years.

With his IMF Group he became a symbol of Italy`s machinery industry in the world.

Galante was born on 16 March 1942 in a business family, he studied at the Technical Institute OMAR of Novara and then he took over the family business instead of his father.

Married with Luisa since 1967 he also leaves the daughters Elisabetta and Francesca and he was the grandfather of 4 grandchildren.

In 1972 he founded the company IMF and developed the business with succeses and subsequently founded new production units in Czech Republic (1996); France (1999); China (1999) and Brazil (2003).

He was President of AMAFOND and CEMAFON for many years and part of the Confindustria International Business Technical Committee. Until last he was the CEMAFON Honorary President.

Gabriele Galante was a synonym for global business in the Foundry Industry, respected and welcomed around the globe. Participating in all major events and congresses he was an outstanding speaker for the industry, for European and Italian interests and of course for his company and his employes.

Driven by his power, his knowledge and his global network he was the idea generator for the biennial International Foundry Forum to gather the protagonists of the foundry industry.

Gabriele Galante was a man you can call with respect an Italiano vero. This means,  whatever he started, his acting  was passionated, profound, and with a sense of humor and  for life, like a typical Italian.

The foundry family will miss the ambassador for the Foundry Industry and the Machinery Industry from Luino in Italy and will always remember a business man with a big heart.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends – Rest in Peace Gabriele!
