Bosch CEO Volkmar Denner has affirmed that the declining demand for diesel vehicles will lead to a significant reduction in jobs.
"Of course we have to respond to the declining demand," he told the Süddeutsche Zeitung. The scope is not yet known. "But we will do everything to implement this in a socially acceptable manner."
This could be done through time accounts, severance packages, early retirement schemes or reducing the number of temporary workers.
In Germany, a good 15,000 jobs depend on the diesel.
