Germany: acquisition takes Männer into Micro-Injection Moulding

Reading time: min

With its acquisition of Paramecc GbR, a manufacturer of all-electric injection moulding machines, the Männer Group has moved into the development and manufacture of micro injection moulding machines. At K 2010, the Männer Solutions for Plastics exhibit premiered the advanced Micro-Män micro injection moulding system.

Last fall, Ralph Keitel and Alexander Gehring, managing partners of Paramecc, unveiled the concept of a micro injection moulding machine. What they needed at that time was a partner for further development, production and marketing. They found that partner in their own city of Bahlingen: their business is now a part of the Männer Group. The newly founded company is called Otto Männer Engineering GmbH, and Ralph Keitel and Alexander Gehring are its managing directors, along with Hans-Peter Männer, who is also president and CEO of the Männer Group.

The machine resulting from the partnership, the Micro-Män, features a sophisticated machine concept that takes into consideration the entire production environment, with the goal of setting new standards in precision, economy and speed.

Männer is a technology leader in high-precision <link http: www.foundry-planet.com moulding-process.html _top external-link-new-window>mould making and hot runner technology, so Hans-Peter Männer has confidence in his company’s ability to meet the related challenges of micro injection moulding. He quickly recognized the potential of the new partnership.

“Ralph Keitel and Alexander Gehring have developed all-electric injection moulding machines for big-name manufacturers, making them absolute experts in the area of all-electric drive technology,” explains Männer, who expects great synergies in the area of micro injection moulding technology and in Männer’s core businesses. According to Hans-Peter Männer, this will make the partnership a “source of impetus for both sides.”
