Schaumburg, Illinois (USA)-Hunter Automated Machinery today announces the opening of a sales and application engineering facility near Milan, Italy.  This new facility will service Hunter customers in the European market, according to company Vice President and Director of Sales, Mr. Kevin Purdy, who made the announcement from the company's headquarters near Chicago.  The Italian facility will be located in Legnano, near Milan, and will be led by Mr. Paolo Nazari.

As Mr. Purdy explains, "Hunter has a long relationship with our Italian partners, Space', Maus and Primafond, all builders of machinery and equipment for the foundry business, so they complement our own lines of matchplate molding and mold handling equipment.  This new facility will bring Hunter application engineering expertise to the European market in a very direct way and we believe the onsite presence of all our partner companies plus our own will create a very powerful force in the foundry market."  Purdy also noted this decision was made, based on the strong business conditions in the European and world foundry market for Hunter, a longtime leader in process automation for foundries.

The new Hunter facility will be located at:  Via Montecassino 6, 20025 Legnano (Milan), Italy.  Phone number is +39 340 806 1744.  Staff will include sales, customer support and application engineering personnel.

Hunter and its partners will all be exhibiting at GIFA, the international foundry exposition, upcoming June 28-July 2, 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
