As Graziano Sammati, Managing Director of KURTZ GmbH and responsible for the business area Foundry Products, informed on Monday, 12 October 2009, KURTZ received a bulk order.

An internationally operating manufacturer of drives for large plants and wind turbines placed an order worth over €1 million with the company which is a member of the Kurtz Group. This additional order clearly improves the iron foundry's capacity at short notice until the end of this year.

The Kurtz Group has already been active as a supplier in the fields renewable energy and photovoltaics in the past. Despite the fact that the wind and solar power industry as well have experienced considerable drops in sales during the past months, KURTZ still considers this market to hold growth potentials and regards this new large order to be a sign of an emerging positive economic development.

KURTZ GmbH receievd a large order for drive components for wind turbines: These parts have to meet especially high demands with regard to quality and material properties. The parts will weigh from 1.5 to 3.8 t and will be hand-moulded. The order was placed with the KURTZ iron foundry in Hasloch, as it is known for its excellent casting technology and reliable delivery dates.
