Bell celebration : More than 3000 viewers followed the live bell casting in Freiburg on 28. June and were enthusiastic. Albert Bachert, bell caster from Karlsruhe has already casted several thousand bells.
The viewers held their breath as a crane cautiously lifted the glowing crucible with 1100 degree hot bronze and the bell casters filled the red lightened metal in the bell form.
A lot of the equipment Albert Bachert brought with him looked like it was taken out of a “Middle Ages” museum.
After the done work the master declared : “ It went perfect”.
