According to the Chinese Foundry Association, the Metal + Metallurgy China in Beijing was a great success, generating a total of 81,623 visitors from all over the world.
The event was held in May 2014 from the 19-22nd at the China International Exhibition Center (New Venue) in Beijing. The expo featured the 12th China International Foundry Expo, the 12th China International Industrial Furnaces Exhibition, the 14th China International Metallurgical Industry Expo and the 10th China International Refractories and Industrial Ceramics Exhibition.
A total 1,335 exhibitors made an appearance at the show with 201 overseas exhibitors from over 20 countries such as Germany, Italy, USA, Spain, China, Russia, Austria, Australia, France, Korea, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Turkey, Iran, UK, Taiwan region, HK, Poland, Brazil and India.
Among the eight exhibition halls, the international area was the most crowded and popular area at the exhibition with pavilions from Germany, America, Italy, Spain, Japan and Taiwan region.
Apart from the exhibition itself, The 11th China Foundry Association Congress and The 8th China International Steel Congress was organized to discuss the hot topics such as the latest policies, developments, emission reduction and energy saving.
The Metal + Metallurgy China also provided the platform for the launch of the first Foundry Lexicon in English by Dr. Stephan Hasse and the presentation of the successful print issue of the Global Casting Magazine published by the Chinese Foundry Association, Foundry Planet and Modern Casting.
