Notes of Pre-Meeting of Asia Foundry Forum

Pre-Meeting of Asia Foundry Forum has been successfully held by China Foundry Association (CFA) in Shanghai on Sept.1 2009.


The representatives attending this forum are China Foundry Association, Japan Foundry Society, the Institute of Indian Foundrymen; Mongolian Metallurgical Association, Taiwan Casting Industry Association, Hongkong Diecasting and Foundry Association, Mr. Zhang Libo, Exec.vice president and secretary general of CFA, took chair in this meeting.


This meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and promoting the development of Asia foundry industries. All delegates of this meeting exchanged views as for the launch of Asian Foundry Forum, its structural mechanism and operation mode. They also made an extensive discussion on a bilateral and multilateral basis. Furthermore, all the attendees heatedly discussed about some issues which they were interested in, and fully presented their own views and expectations. Seizing this unique opportunity, the attendees who come from different Asian countries and regions eagerly expressed their common desire to promote the development through cooperation.

 

All the attendees agreed that the pre-meeting for Asian Foundry Forum is of utmost importance for Asian foundry organizations. It fully represents their common pursuit of communication, cooperation, development and enhancement of Asian foundry industry.  During this prep-meeting, the consensus has been reached and positive achievements have been made. All these efforts pave the way for the unification and consolidation of Asian foundry organization to effectively integrate with the global economy. This meeting has a practical significance and profound historic significance in improving the competitiveness of Asian foundry industry and promoting its further development. It will also be beneficial to the image-building of Asian foundry industry.
