Positive Business Climate Index in Tune with Supplier Event; Expect Outstanding Variety - Theme Parks and Expert Forums

Reading time: min

This year’s Industrial Supply opens with a streamlined layout and comprehensive program at HANNOVER MESSE 2013 from April 8 to 12.  Shortly before the start of the leading trade show for industrial supply solutions and lightweight construction, the ArGeZ supplier industry association’s business climate index offers signs of optimism: the sector expects a positive change of mood.

“The hope we expressed last fall of an economic turnaround in the spring now has an even stronger basis,” said Oliver Frese, Deutsche Messe Senior Vice President. “This became apparent in February with the improved business climate in the supplier industry.  Expectations are significantly more optimistic, and perceptions of the current situation are also more positive.  If actual order development in the next few months confirms the positive mood, this is an excellent omen for HANNOVER MESSE in April.”

The positive outlook is further confirmed by current exhibitor registration for the trade fair.  Companies and associations including ContiTech, Salzgitter, Ceramics Industry Association (VKI), CoorsTek, Erhard Hippe, Sonderhoff Chemicals, Bulk Forming Industry Association, VIRO Schmiedeteile, NEVAT, EMKA Beschlagteile, German Foundry Industry Association (BDG), DIHAG Holding, Heinrich Kipp Werk, Bosch Rexroth, Carbon Composites, Leiber Group, Reinforced Plastics Industry Association (AVK), 3A Composites, European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA), Metawell and CFK-Valley Stade will be part of the action in Halls 4 to 6 in April.  This reflects companies’ continued strong identification with Industrial Supply at HANNOVER MESSE.

“Industrial Supply once again fulfills its function as a strong supplier magnet at HANNOVER MESSE this year.  The sector continues to offer extensive and varied innovations, which is clearly apparent not only in the range of exhibitors, but also in the variety of topics addressed in the events and trade show program,” added Mr. Frese. “The accompanying program for Industrial Supply in particular, with expert and discussion forums such as the Suppliers Convention and the Materials forum along with numerous theme parks highlight Industrial Supply’s importance as a flagship trade show in the HANNOVER MESSE portfolio.”

Expert and discussion forums
The 13th Materials forum at Industrial Supply is all about comprehensive materials expertise and the universe of materials.  Topics range from intelligent materials to hybrid materials and lightweight structures and composite materials.  Lightweight construction in particular is seen as an intelligent solution for sustainably optimizing efficiency, which increasingly places it at the center of business and environmental interests.  Exhibitors at the show are therefore displaying practical solutions for intelligent lightweight construction, future materials developments, and their construction characteristics and techniques in the fields of composite materials & polymers, modern high-strength steels, multi-material design, industrial ceramics, high-performance joining and parting technology and lightweight metals.

The Suppliers Convention <link http: www.hannovermesse.de en suppliersconvention _blank external-link-new-window external link in new>Opens external link in new windowwww.hannovermesse.de/en/suppliersconvention brings the supply industry’s offer directly into contact with its users to promote cross-industry sharing and exchange.  Expert and discussion forum topics include technologies and trends for the future, as well as environmentally safe and economically feasible products and processes.  The ArGeZ supplier industry association, Konradin media group’s Industrieanzeiger and Maschinenfabrik Wagner/Plarad are partnering with the event.  The Wind Energy Suppliers forum is being held for the first time on the Thursday of the trade show at the Suppliers Convention.  Wind industry suppliers are facing new demands in the world markets, such as production processes that protect resources and the environment, competitive logistics, new process engineering techniques and materials and intelligent manufacturing technologies and network-style alliances.  The Wind Energy Suppliers forum deliberately chooses to address these topics in the international trade show environment of Industrial Supply.  The German Association for Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME) also supports the Suppliers Convention with expert presentations.  Topics such as “Challenges of the Russian procurement market: Do you understand Russians?” or “Successful product cost optimization with suppliers – Reducing costs together without thumbscrews” are the focus.  The BME Buyers’ Day is being held for the first time at the forum on the Wednesday of the show.

Global Material Innovations is a new special event at Industrial Supply on the topic of innovative materials and production processes.  It should offer inspiration and concrete solutions to exhibitors and visitors from outside their own field of expertise and help generate ideas for product innovations.  The event is organized by Material ConneXion, a company with more than 15 years of experience as a material and process engineering scout.  Some 180 original models of material innovation from the broadest range of material categories (polymers, glass, metal, cement, ceramic, carbon, natural materials) are being collected specifically for Industrial Supply.  The primary selection criterion is their suitability for use in lightweight structures.

Theme parks
The Industrial Supply offer is organized into theme parks.  The Bulk Forming theme park, for example, offers a nearly complete overview of the solutions available in the German bulk forming industry.  Casting technology is the traditional exhibitor area for the German foundry industry.  Visitors to the Industrial Ceramics theme park find a range of innovative products and processes relating to this innovative material, and system suppliers exhibit complete solutions in the SystemPartner theme park.  Additional theme parks include Fastening Technology + Operating Controls, WeP – Value-Adding Partner ContiTech and Engineering Materials Innovation Center.  All Industrial Supply theme parks represent specialized sector expertise, but are united by a common vision: Exhibitors are all presenting innovative products and solutions along the entire supply market process chain.

The Lightweight Construction area has been a constant in the Industrial Supply portfolio for several years. Lightweight materials and structures contribute considerably to reducing energy and material consumption.  Lightweight construction technologies therefore stand for efficiency in international markets, and increase product and system profitability.  Exhibitors at Industrial Supply showcase their applications in the Materials forum, the Lightweight Construction Solutions Area and the Lightweight Construction theme park.  Learn more about the various theme parks at <link http: www.hannovermesse.de en industrialsupply _blank external-link-new-window external link in new>Opens external link in new windowwww.hannovermesse.de/en/industrialsupply.
