Holger Stemmler became the new Chief Financial Officer of TRIMET Aluminium SE on October 1, 2019. He succeeds Martin Söffge, who is leaving the company at his own request. Stemmler previously held international financial positions for the Royal Dutch Shell Group and the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company, among others. The business administration graduate has more than 20 years of industry experience in the energy and raw materials sectors.
“I am delighted to have Holger Stemmler on board, for he is a proven financial expert with extensive experience in the commodity markets,” said Philipp Schlüter, Chairman of the Executive Board of TRIMET Aluminium SE. At the same time, he thanked the outgoing Chief Financial Officer: “Martin Söffge has played a key role in ensuring that TRIMET is well-positioned with a solid foundation for the future.”
Martin Söffge has held the position of Chief Financial Officer on the Executive Board of TRIMET Aluminium SE since 2009. The 60-year-old plans to devote more time to his private interests in the future.
