PS Auto Grinding Record Sales at Ankiros 2014

PS Auto Grinding Limited (PSAG), exclusive distributors of market leading Koyama Automatic Machines have just returned from one of their most successful exhibitions ever, Ankiros 2014.

The simple reason for PS Auto Grinding’s success is that the machines are effectively free. The majority of purchases are leased and the monthly costs are met usually by the savings in labour. In some cases one machine can replace up to 7 or 8 hand grinders, on average 4 are replaced. After the leasing period, usually 3 or 5 years, grinding costs are around one third of previous hand grinding costs and this can add €Millions onto the bottom line as well as sort out the usual productivity, recruitment, quality, safety and energy issues that almost all hand grinding departments have. Also, with the high demand that PS Auto Grinding machines have in foundries, they have an valuable asset that is sellable quickly should circumstances demand.

As with most exhibitions that PSAG attend a Series 400S, the bestselling model, for grinding castings up to 20KG was demonstrated throughout the 3 day exhibition to literally hundreds of visitors. As Mr Smith says “Foundry owners and managers like to see first-hand how something works and in particular most were extremely impressed with how fast it grinds and the finish and how simple the machine was to program and to make fixtures.”

As well as many strong enquiries for delivery in 2015 PS Auto Grinding secured several firm orders from new and existing customers. Atik Metal, Denizgiler and Ozguven foundries all placed orders for more machines, demonstrating that PS Auto Grinding Machines exceed expectations technically and also commercially for foundries. This appears to be as true in high cost Western economies as in lower cost (from a wages perspective) markets such as Turkey.

Trakya Dokum, a major state of the art foundry in Istanbul decided to place an order for 2 machines at Ankiros, another significant new customer for PS Auto Grinding

Mr Smith said “Trakya only six months ago decided to invest with our nearest competitor from Italy. By purchasing so soon with PSAG it would seem that having the right product and the right support means more to foundries like Trakya than just what appears to be a bargain.”

PS Auto Grinding move onto Fondex Exhibition in the Czech Republic, another fast growing market on the 29th September.
