According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Exporters Association in February this year Turkey's steel exports totaled USD 1.31 billion in value increasing by 62.87% YoY and up 33.83% over the previous month. This is the highest steel export value achieved since the start of the economic crisis in October 2008.
On the other hand, in the first 2 months of this year, Turkey's steel export value came to USD 2.28 billion rising by 53.73% as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
