ALUMINIUM CHINA successfully brought over 12,000 visiting and
exhibiting professionals from 91 countries together in Shanghai for the
aluminium industry gathering of the Year

From the 28th – 30th August, ALUMINIUM CHINA 2007 opened its doors for the 3rd time in history to 8409 professional visitors and buyers along with over 4000 exhibiting professionals arriving from a total of 91 countries across the globe and the length and breadth of China. At this year’s largest aluminium industry trading and networking event organized by Reed Exhibitions, industry elites from the aluminium industry and its major application fields have gathered in shanghai for 3 packed days of trading and networking action focused on the Asia region. Impressively through our exhibitor survey, 97% of exhibitors clearly states that they are ‘Completely satisfied’ to ‘Satisfied’ with this year’s event, this along with other impressive feedbacks will undoubtedly pave the way for the massive gathering expected at ALUMINIUM CHINA 2008 in the Canton Fair venue in Guangzhou next year.

Covering an area of 20,000m2, 280 international and local exhibiting companies arriving from 26 nations worldwide have showcased their latest products and services to visitors arriving from 30 provinces across China and 90 other countries around the world. Influential international companies like United Company RUSAL, ALCOA, DUBAL, Aleris, MITSUI, Novelis, Furukawa- Sky, SMS group, Siemens VAI, Wagstaff, Pyrotek, Fata hunter, Otto Junker, Granco Clark and over 150 other well known international companies have arrived to showcase the industry’s latest technology, services and products from raw materials, machinery and equipment all the way down to finished products. Local companies led by China’s flagship aluminium corporation, the Aluminium Corporation of China (CHALCO) present a selection that truly reflects the country’s latest developments and best production capabilities. Well known brands like Asia Aluminum, Zhongwang, Nanshan, Conglin, Kamkiu, Guangya, Haomei, Kingle, Xingya, Weiye, Xinren and many more have came away this year with tremendously satisfying results.

Over 40% of the available stands for ALUMINIUM CHINA 2008 were sold onsite by the 3rd day with additional stand bookings besides. This onsite stand rebooking success resonates clearly through our satisfied exhibitors and visitors. The General Manager of the Nanshan Group Mr. Rence Cheng shared his thoughts: “Each and every edition of ALUMINIUM CHINA are undoubtedly the largest and highest level aluminium industry event in China, but the 2007 event exceeded even our expectations in terms of the number of international and local visiting customers. We firmly believe that continuing to exhibit at the show will ensure our leading export and local sales figures.” Turina McClelland representing Wagstaff shares this view: “Visitor Quality and Quantity are even better than last year. We are very satisfied with the show and have already booked an even bigger stand for ALUMINIUM CHINA 2008.” The general manager of Guangda Aluminium Mr. Dan Zhonghu shared his perspective as a visitor of the show: “I have gained tremendously through my visit; I’ve visited all the companies I’ve came to see and also explored potential cooperation deals with companies like Chengda, Tianzhong and Siemens VAI.”

At the event, Gary Liu, the Vice President of Reed Exhibitions China reveals that in order to cater for the surging interest and high expectations of the exhibitors for further business opportunities, ALUMINIUM CHINA 2008 will take the world aluminium community to ‘the world’s factory’ the Guangdong Province, China in 2008 for a massive market opening edition of ALUMINIUM CHINA in the Canton fair venue in Guangzhou in May.

Zu ihrer dritten Auflage konnte die ALUMINIUM CHINA vom 28.-30. August 2007 erneut einen Besucher- und Ausstellerrekord verzeichnen. 8.409 Besucher (+28%) aus 91 Nationen sowie 280 Aussteller (+21%) aus 26 Ländern kamen in das Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Damit bestätigte die ALUMINIUM CHINA ihre Rolle als führende Branchenmesse Asiens.
Die Liste der Aussteller wurde vom chinesischen Flagschiff CHALCO angeführt. Aber auch die internationalen Keyplayer UC RUSAL, DUBAL, Aleris, Novelis, SMS Group, Wagstaff, Pyrotek und Fata Hunter sowie nationale Größen wie Asia Aluminium und Haomei präsentierten auf 20,000m2 ihre Innovationen und Produktionsmöglichkeiten. Von Besuchern wie Aussteller bekam die Messe gute Noten: 97 Prozent der Besucher zeigten sich mit dem Verlauf der ALUMINIUM CHINA „vollkommen zufrieden“ bis „zufrieden“. Ähnlich groß war die Zustimmung auf Seiten der Ausstellern: 40 Prozent der verfügbaren Ausstellungsfläche für 2008 waren bereits am letzten Messetag gebucht.

Organisiert wurde die ALUMINIUM CHINA von Reed Exhibitions China, Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH, dem Veranstalter der Muttermesse ALUMINIUM in Essen, und Beijing Antaike Investment Consulting Co., Ltd., dem größten chinesischen Beratungsunternehmen für die Aluminiumindustrie. Die nächste ALUMINIUM CHINA findet vom 28.-30. Mai 2008 auf dem Messegelände im südchinesischen Guangzhou statt.
