In the field of high pressure & gravity die-casting, CONDAT has developed a complete range
of lubricants designed to meet the needs of all casting techniques at all stages of foundry processes.
The range includes:
• Vanishing lubricants
• Plunger lubricants
• Slide-rail lubricants
• Fire resistant fluids
• Heat transfer fluids
• Pastes and greases
• Release agent
• Ladle coating
CONDAT can offer equipment for application and control of its lubricants range such as:
• spray guns
• die lubricant mixing unit
• refractometer or colorimeter
• dispenser for beads
MEETING CUSTOMER NEEDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRAINTS
CONDAT has always worked closely to its customers and has established long term partnerships with them with the purpose of offering solutions adapted to their needs and issues.
With new technical considerations (quality parts, …..), market pressures (productivity rate,…), waste treatment cost increases, environmental legislation evolution, CONDAT offer a global solution for the continuous improvement of the lubricant during its life cycle (at all stages : mixing, dosing, spraying, controlling, filtration, recycling, water treatment etc). Therefore consumption and production costs are significantly reduced.
CONDAT has also recently invested significant resources to ensure our raw materials and products conform to the most recent European legislation (REACH, BIOCIDES , formaldehyde).
New range CONDAFOND: Offering silicone free products !
Being always attentive to its customers needs and aware of environmental and regulatory constraints, CONDAT now offers a brand new range of soluble die lubricants for high pressure die casting of aluminium & magnesium alloys.
These new die lubricants, named CONDAFOND, use the latest generation of soluble oils and required several months of Research & Development within the CONDAT R&D laboratories. They mark an important evolution in terms of chemistry as they do not contain silicone, and are in compliance with the most recent French legislation.
Unlike other exiting products on the market, these new CONDAFOND emulsions are operator friendly as they considerably improve health and hygiene conditions. Though silicones (or PolyDiMéthylSiloxanes = PDMS) were up to now used because of their lubricating performance, it has been demonstrated that they could, during spraying, liberate low quantities of formaldehyde when in contact with hot moulds. Now, everyone knows that the formaldehyde has been classified as a dangerous substance by the European Union, and that France strongly restricts its use by legal order.
With CONDAT’s history of anticipating regulatory changes and its efforts to limit operator exposure to hazardous components during die casting operations, the new silicone free die lubricants range developed by CONDAT maintains all its characteristics at high temperature.
CONDAFOND 700 benefits are numerous:
• Friendly for the working environment of operators.
• High release power.
• Clean finish of the die-cast parts.
• No build up on the die.
• Compatible with onward operations (finishes, paints and surface treatments...)
• Excellent compatibility with standard and hyper silicate aluminium alloys and magnesium alloys.
• Low COD level
• Prevents sticking at high temperature
Several series of die lubricants have been developed to meet customers’ requirements:
CONDAFOND 7OO series 30 /50 /70 /80 /90
Since its foundation in 1854, CONDAT has been recognized as the specialist in lubricants. Using its depth of technical knowledge, CONDAT develops high performance lubricants with added value, adapted to every industrial application (foundry, forging, metal working, wire drawing, maintenance, heat treatment …). CONDAT recommends to its customers the best lubricating solution, in terms of performance, economical and environmental constraints.
