VX800 – 3D Printing System

voxeljet technology presents the new VX500 3D printing system at this year’s Euromold in Frankfurt.

Models can be produced in different synthetic materials directly from the dataset and without tools with it.

“We look forward to Euromold, which we can attend with a real show-stopper this year,” explains Dr. Ingo Ederer, managing director of VOXELJET. “The VX500 offers the performance features of a top-class 3D printer in a compact design, but at a fair price. We are really excited about clients’ response.”

voxeljet technology – the leading supplier of industrial 3D print applications with its head office in Augsburg – is actively involved in three commercial spheres:

  • in the area of printing and dispensing technology high-performance inkjet systems for various applications are developed and produced,

  • in addition voxeljet operates Europe’s largest service centre for the on-demand manufacture of cast moulds.
  • The latest product range represents 3D printing systems for industrial use in the manufacture of synthetic components.

The VX500 processes a synthetic powder that is printed in layers with a binding agent with the aid of a high-resolution print head. Extremely complex forms or forms with very fine detail can be reproduced without any difficulty. The unit’s dimensions are 500 x 400 x 300 mm and needs only 30 seconds per layer.

When the formation process has finished, the required parts are removed from the interchangeable container by the guide rail system, after which the unit is immediately ready for the next assignment. Subsequently, the components are freed from the surrounding powder after a short curing time, cleaned and, depending on the application, infiltrated with different materials. All the remaining powder is again added to the process via a recycling procedure.
