In the eleventh edition of the Daimler Supplier Award, Daimler thanked more than 500 strategic partners and key suppliers for their innovative cooperation based on partnership. Furthermore, ten selected suppliers were awarded the Daimler Supplier Award. Fritz Winter Eisengießerei was able to obtain the desired prize in the category ‘partnership’ of the Daimler Trucks & Buses division.
The Award’s motto was “Vision, Venture, Value”
The motto is at the same time an appeal to the suppliers: Contribute. Participate. Be ahead. The event took place on February 20 with 500 invited guests at the Carl Benz Arena Stuttgart.

The award intends to appreciate once per year the superior performances and the collaboration based on partnership of ten selected suppliers. The performances are measured in the areas quality, partnership and innovation. Furthermore, parameters like economic efficiency, delivery reliability and sustainable behavior also play an important role.

Fritz Winter Eisengießerei earns the award of the category ‘partnership’ by means of the development and supply of the OM 470 crank case in an extraordinary speed. The supply of first parts after five months only and the following supply of the series parts after seven months allowed an earlier start of production. With this, Fritz Winter managed to halve the regular project duration.
