Modena - Having wound up with the large-scale presence of visitors and companies the, 2005 appointment confirmed ALUMOTIVE as Europe’s most fair for the mobility compartment, the only event that brings together the world of components and subcontracting for all means of transport, allowing strategic comparisons to be made from the points of view of strategy and applications.
10,684 visitors, 634 exhibitors, 28 technical sessions, 200 technical-scientific interventions on the calendar, the endorsement of three ministries and 32 associations and leading companies.
The successes of the last edition focus the spotlights in Alumotive 2007, from 18th to 20th October at Modena’s fair. We receive advance news on its contents from Luca Alberghini, the managing director of Adexpo, which is organising the fair.
Q. What will we see at the fair?
A. This year we shall devote more space to innovative materials, elastomers, polymers and composite materials and we shall intensify our investigations during the conferences. As in 2005, we shall organise technical sessions on the following topics: coatings, the finishing and surface treatment of various material, aeronautics deformation, the pressing and fixing of sheet mass transportation, kart, marine engineering, aerodynamics, high-tech engine mechanical engineering, dies for foundry and extrusion dies, EDP technology for the transport industry, foundry and diecasting, forging, powder metallurgy, tests, trials, controls and certification, machining, assembly and cutting techniques, welding processes, rapid prototyping and rapid casting, innovative materials, design with light alloys and new technological materials, titanium and magnesium.
Q. And as for special events?
A. There will be plenty of them. Aludesign – Material & Design in car design will dedicate space to research in styling ‘par excellence’. Designers from the most important world auto companies will take part in a round table monitored by the director of the Quattrorute monthly magazine, Mauro Tedeschini, to illustrate the stylistic innovations under way in the auto sector.
With CarBodytech Alumotive will investigate new technologies for bodies. An extensive demo area will host the most innovative solutions for repairing performance cars. And the car of the future and its components will also be considered.
An event is being studied in collaboration with MaTech which, via prototypes developed specifically for Alumotive 2007, will present to visitors materials and innovative technologies which could revolutionise the bodies, engines, space frames and interiors of cars.
Q. This year, do you believe that you will equal the success of the last editions?
A. To tell the truth, we aim to double our achievements. When it was founded in 2003, Alumotive counted almost 300 companies, in 2005 it hosted more than 600 exhibitors and in 2007 we aim to reach one million. More than 80% of companies have already confirmed that they will be at the fair in 2007.
