Two local manufacturing operations today announced plans to invest almost $10 million combined and create a total of up to 52 new jobs within the next two years.
Ward Corp., an aluminum castings maker, is spending $6.2 million to add 15,000-square-feet to its local foundry. The expansion will create up to 42 new jobs by 2017. Hiring has already begun.
American Sealants, a sealant and adhesive maker, is investing $3.53 million to build and equip a 60,000-square-foot building with mixers and packaging equipment. The family owned company plans to start hiring next month to fill up to 10 new jobs.
