“Innovative induction technology” – the latest red hot issues in Dortmund
Dortmund – 2006, the congress center of Dortmund’s Westfalenhallen will host the 15th International Customer Congress of ABP Induction Systems GmbH in co-operation with Pillar Induction.
Under the motto “Innovative induction technology for foundries and forming plants,” well-known experts will make presentations on current issues and development trends in the fields of foundry and forging technology. The focus of this year’s congress will be “foundry technology” and “induction heating.” After the big success of previous events, ABP Induction, formerly ABB Foundry Systems, together with partner company Pillar Induction, expects more than 500 participants from more than 25 countries. Besides the extensive lecture program, eight workshops will also invite guests to active participation. The congress aims to promote the broad exchange of experiences between foundries and forges with the system manufacturers. It also highlights how the competitiveness of foundries and forges can be increased, with the aid of the latest technology and processes leading to greater efficiency and improved product quality, taking the growing environmental demands into account as well.
The customer congress will also feature an attractive side program which offers the participants the ideal communication platform for interaction. The exhibition, for example, of well known partners of the foundry and forging industry gives plenty of opportunity for participants to inform themselves and make new contacts. The “worldwide growing foundry industry” discussion series with well known participants from the emerging markets of China, India and Russia, also offers the opportunity of making new business contacts. The Dortmund Evening, meanwhile a tradition, provides the ideal setting for relaxed conversation outside everyday business. A varied entertainment programme will also, as with past events, contribute to the evening being an unforgettable experience for all.
All in one, this year’s congress will, once again, contribute to establish the ABP Induction Customer Congress as an important event in the industry.
In November 2005, ABB sold its Foundry Systems Business Unit to CM Acquisition which has extensive experience in the foundry and steel industry. The independently acting ABP Induction Systems GmbH developed from the business divisions of ABB Foundries and Forming Plants, Dortmund. As one of the world’s leading businesses in induction melting and heating, ABP controls all international activities in the USA, Sweden, Brazil and Thailand from its headquarters in Dortmund.
