TCT TESIC GmbH celebrates its 25th anniversary; A rapid development with numerous successes and important milestones.
In 1993, Zoran Tesic started brokering used foundry equipment from a small cellar office, carrying out the first orders with only the help of a secretary. Today, TCT TESIC buys and sells, dismantles and assembles, repairs and modernizes used foundry equipment - worldwide. The company employs about 20 people at its headquarters in Iserlohn and also works internationally with various agents and external assembly teams.
Shortly after the founding of his company, Zoran Tesic recruited additional employees and in 1997, built a 3,000 m² property with a warehouse in the Iserlohn-Kalthof industrial park. In the same year, he expanded his service portfolio with Foundry Services, which covers the repair and maintenance of induction furnaces. Just two years later, in 1999, Zoran Tesic expanded his business by building a second industrial hall.
In 2005, TCT TESIC specialized in the sale of second-hand foundry equipment in XXL format. From then on, TCT TESIC handled the dismantling, transport, and assembly of large molding plants, including entire sand processing lines. In retrospect, this development represents perhaps the most important milestone in the company's history, because today the company is a leader in this field in Europe.
Foundry Relocation - 25 containers from Australia to Mexico
In 2012, a 14,000 m² site was purchased near the former company property. On it were two industrial halls with 3,000 m² surface as well as several overhead cranes and a large 50m gantry crane. Zoran Tesic saw the potential for repairing, modernizing and storing large plants in order to enlarge the company. Complete foundry facilities are now maintained, refurbished, tested and stored in Iserlohn. In its foundry relocation business, the company now also offers relocation and implementation of complete foundries. In Australia, the TCT TESIC team dismantled and stowed a complete foundry in more than 25 sea containers as well as several special containers and transported them to Germany for its work. Here, all individual plants were overhauled, and then exported to Mexico.
Whether an entire foundry or only individual parts or plants are sold, these can be very complex and sometimes lengthy processes. It can take two years from the first customer contact to the commissioning of a purchased system, such as the sale of a DISAMATIC molding plant including sand processing from the Daimler plant in Germany to Turkey.
Challenges with 60 sea containers at -30C
In 2014, a HWS molding line including sand preparation, core shop, CT-6 blast machine and two Junker induction furnaces was successfully dismantled, packaged and stowed at Volvo in Sweden. After a partial handover in Germany, these were exported to Egypt, where TCT TESIC again supervised the assembly.
The TCT TESIC team also had to deal with special challenges during a project in 2010: At minus 30 degrees celcius, the TCT team dismantled a molding plant in Finland and shipped it in 60 sea containers for delivery to Brazil.
Whether it's freezing cold, extremely complex processes or complicated customs regulations - with its many years of experience and its immense know-how, the company has so far mastered every challenge. Another in-house success was achieved this year with the ISO certification. TCT TESIC wants to stay on course for success in the coming years and master even the biggest challenges.
