Virtual Classroom Session by ABP Induction with presentations from Lungmuß and Saveway

#savethedate on May 28th, 2020: Best practices and technical background knowledge on digitalization, refractories and measurement technology in the foundry environment

Lesedauer: min

After the successful premiere of the ABP Virtual Classroom, which was held in April as an alternative to the canceled German Foundry Day, ABP Induction is once again offering an exciting virtual session: Those interested can attend interesting presentations from the companies Lungmuß and Saveway – and of course from ABP Induction itself from their office workstations or from their home office computer.

If you think about it – what are the advantages of events on current topics in foundry practice? It's about networking and sharing ideas with experts, conversations with colleagues from other foundries and meeting new potential new partners. "The ABP Virtual Classroom Sessions from ABP Induction combine all of this. Knowledge generation, networking and partner development take place in the ABP Virtual Academy – participants can save travel time and costs", says Markus Fournell, VP Global Service & Digital Products at ABP Induction.

Why can this event take place? "As a part of ABP Induction's digitalization strategy, we have developed a Virtual Academy, which also includes a Virtual Classroom. In this classroom, events can take place regardless of location, and anyone can attend if they register with ABP in advance, have Internet access, a Windows PC and a headset," says Markus Fournell. When entering the virtual training and education environment, each participant receives a personal avatar and uses it to navigate through ABP's digital branch office. This avatar can be used to attend lectures, have discussions with participants or speakers, view 3D models of furnace systems and participate in workshops - the perfect environment for a top-notch session on one of the most important foundry topics, "refractory lining".

The chemical company Chemikalien-Gesellschaft Hans Lungmuß mbH & Co. KG (Lungmuß Feuerfest) has been one of Europe's leading suppliers of unshaped refractory products for about 60 years now. Saveway GmbH & Co. KG offers innovative measuring technology for melting, holding & treatment plants in the foundry, steel, metallurgical and glass industry. Both of the companies will be providing interesting practical presentations and insights into the latest current developments. ABP Induction will be showcasing its latest products in the field of crucible furnaces, and will be discussing the ABP digitalization strategy, which was successfully launched last year, particularly with regard to the ABP Virtual Academy and the digital customer platform and plant management portal "myABP.com".

Spend some diversified, practical and informative time with experts from the industry and various users from the foundry community – from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. CEST, and from any location where you have a PC and Internet access – we look forward to exchanging ideas with you!
