Bradken’s Amite Works Two Million Hours Safely

Bradken, Waratah, Australia, announce that its Amite, La., metalcasting facility has worked two million hours without a lost time incident.

The facility reached the milestone on Feb. 3 after 1,771 days of operation. According to a company press release, the facility has become safer after its administration implemented a 21 Step Safety Management Plan.

The Amite facility produces parts for the industrial, mining and construction markets. It is part of Bradken Engineered Products division, which designs and manufactures ferrous sand castings, machined components and assemblies. Bradken employs more than 4,200 globally and operates 26 manufacturing and service facilities.
