The 13th China International Diecasting Congress & Exhibition (CID) & 2018 China Nonferrous Alloys & Special Casting Exhibition (CNF) were held from 18th to 20th of July, 2018 at Shanghai New International Exhibition Center (SNIEC) in China. Organized by Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (FICMES) and NürnbergMesse China, the exhibition expanded its show space to 3 halls, and has achieved great success of all time. Chris Boss and Mario Bethge (EUROGUSS), the entire team of Nuernberg Messe China (NMC) and FICMES rightfully received many acknowledgements for the latest issue of the DieCasting China in Shanghai 2018.
As the leading trade fair in die casting industry, CHINA DIECASTING had a total net space of 14,124 sqm (10,032 sqm in 2017), gathered 409 exhibitors (323 for 2017) from 15 countries and regions, including: Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, UK, U.S, and of course, China (mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan), among which 23% are overseas exhibitors. The exhibitor has also attracted 16,236 trade visitors (14,256 in 2017) during three days. Both exhibitors and visitors were impressed by the quality and services of the show, CHINA DIECASTING now has become Asia’s No.1 exhibition in die casting industry.
Continuous New Record of International Trade Visitors:
16,236 trade visitors were mainly experts of manufacturing, developers and merchandisers from automotive including its peripheral industry and other sectors – travelled to Shanghai more than 41 countries and regions. The proportion of overseas visitors was another marked increase. The strongest countries of origin were in Asia, and then Europe: after China, the majority came from India, Japan, Korea, USA, Germany, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Mexico.
“The 13th China International Diecasting Congress” and “The 4th International Symposium on Nonferrous Alloys and Special Casting Technologies” was held from July 15th to 17th, 2018 in Novotel Shanghai Clover. 28 important speeches with latest foundry and casting technologies were given during the 2-day congress, delivered great value to the audience.

Follows the leading trend of “lightweight, new-energy, and intelligence” in the global automotive industry, “Auto-Tech Day” discussed revolutionary challenges and opportunities, in form of development forum and displaying.
The forum, “2018 Automotive Lightweight Development Forum” has invited 7 experts from GF Casting Solutions, GM, DF Motor, DGS, BYD, AluMag Automotive, N-CE Neuwirth Consulting & Engineering, discussed the latest progress and solution of lightweight automotive parts, as well as the opportunities.
In Japan Die Casting Parts Display area, 6 leading Japanese die casting companies also brought die casting parts representing their latest forming & casting technologies this year. - Mould Manufacturing Day 2018
Mould Manufacturing Day 2018 contains 2 parts: “The Summit Mould Manufacturing” and “International Match-making for Moulds & Die Casting Parts”. Chinese die casting manufacturers are proposing higher requirement towards the dies and moulds, since they are also facing strict procurement standards from global buyers.
“The Summit Mould Manufacturing Forum 2018” invited 7 experts, engineers and technicians from associations and relevant downstream and upstream industries shared current market trend and government policies, and also explored innovative development solutions. The match-making provides high-efficient opportunities for 17 buyers vs. 52 suppliers to negotiate face to face. - Technologies in nonferrous alloys and applications
Besides the workmanship, sometimes materials are also critical to improve the manufacturing. By the time 3 seminar themes announced, there are already quite a number of audience expecting the sharing from the forum.
“Seminar on Casting Technology of Advanced Nonferrous Alloys” invited 12 speakers from top colleges and universities, research institutes, and leading enterprises in the field of the national defense and related industries, presented valuable reports focused on academic exchanges of new nonferrous material and technology development.
“Magnesium Alloys Casting Technologies Session” focused on discussion of the application status and future prospects of magnesium alloy in aerospace, automobile, 3C and other fields. 8 speakers from leading association, manufacturers and universities had joined this session.
“Semi-Solid Metal Casting Technologies Development Seminar and Products Display” had 4 industry experts and representatives of enterprises to discuss the sustainable development of this process by making technical presentations and displaying high quality casting products. - Other Programs
6 well-known universities and enterprises from China presented 8 scientific and technological achievements on “The 5th China Foundry Science and Technology Achievements Trade Fair”, setting up a bridge between academic institutes and companies.

CHINA DIECASTING's "Southeast Asia Investment Forum” will attract enterprises to new dynamic die-casting markets overseas. The next event for the EUROGUSS product family will be ALUCAST, from 6 to 8 December 2018, in Greater Noida, Delhi/NCR, India, with around 150 exhibitors and more than 3,500 trade visitors.
