Lesedauer: min

Itar-Tass quoted Mr Ashot Arutyunian sales and marketing director of the truck manufacturer said Russia’s KAMAZ truck plant intends to push up sales by one third next year selling 42,000 vehicles. The plant expects to sell up to 35,000 to 37,000 trucks on the domestic market next year, and export another 5,000 trucks. Mr Arutyunian also said that this year KAMAZ intends to sell about 29,000 vehicles in Russia and export 5,000 trucks. So far, the approved business plan for sales in 2010 is 32,200 vehicles. Mr Arutyunian said plans for the next year are so far preliminary and work continues on the business plan, which has not been approved as of yet. If the truck scrap utilization scheme proves efficient next year, sales plans will increase, the director believes. The truck market this year is estimated at 60,000 vehicles while next year it may grow to 70,000 trucks not taking into consideration the scrap utilization scheme. KAMAZ accounts for 55% of the truck market and intends to retain its share. The truck giant also expects to actively develop leasing sales. In particular, a session with the Ministry of Industry and Trade will be held on Friday to consider the use of leasing schemes in the scrap utilization program.
