Our Functional Minerals business unit offers GEKO™: natural molding sand additives that effectively boost foundry productivity and ensure perfect castings.
GEKO™ allows Turkish foundries to reach enhanced green sand properties and consume less bentonite with its high starting level of properties and thermal resistance.
By using GEKO™ some foundries reached a decrease in the consumption of bentonite per tons of liquid metal by 15 – 25% compared to conventional products. Moreover, customers also reported that, by using GEKO™, they could reach significantly enhanced performance values which affected also the quality of the finished goods quality.
